From Milan: take the Autostrada dei Laghi (A8) towards Gravellona Toce. Continue along the SS33 del Sempione to the Villadossola exit. From here, take the SP Antronapiana, driving up the Val Antrona through alpine villages and spectacular scenery until you reach Antronapiana, then continue to Alpe Cheggio, situated at the foot of the Lago dei Cavalli
