Der Ausgangspunkt ist Gravellona Toce, in der Nähe der Einmündung des Strona-Bachs in den Fluss Tosa, wo einst ein antiker Flusshafen lag und heute ein großes Einkaufszentrum steht.
Nach den vier Kreisverkehren entlang der SP229 in Richtung Ortasee geht es am vierten Kreisverkehr (am oberen Ende der Auffahrt Santa Maria) rechts nach Casale Corte Cerro, von wo man einen Blick auf das Val Corcera hat, das den Ortasee mit dem Lago Maggiore verbindet.

L’itinéraire part de Gravellona Toce, près de la confluence du torrent Strona avec la rivière Toce, où se trouvait autrefois un port fluvial romain et qui accueille aujourd’hui un grand centre commercial.
Passez les quatre ronds-points sur la route SP 229 en direction du Lac d’Orta ; au quatrième (celui au sommet de la montée de Santa Maria) tournez à droite vers Casale Corte Cerro ; de là vous commencerez à voir le Val Corcera qui relie le Lac d’Orta au Lac Majeur.

We start in Gravellona Toce, near the confluence of the Strona stream into the Toce River, once the site of an ancient Roman river port and now an extensive commercial center.
After the obligatory passage from the four roundabouts along SP229 in the direction of Lake Orta, at the fourth one (the one at the top of the Santa Maria climb), we turn right for Casale Corte Cerro, from where we begin to have a view over the Corcera Valley, the one that connects Lake Orta to Lake Maggiore.

Si parte da Gravellona Toce, vicino alla confluenza del torrente Strona nel fiume Toce, un tempo sede di un antico porto fluviale romano e oggi di un esteso centro commerciale.
Dopo il passaggio obbligato dalle quattro rotonde lungo la SP229 in direzione Lago d’Orta, alla quarta (quella in cima alla salita di Santa Maria) si svolta a dx per Casale Corte Cerro, da cui si inizierà ad avere una visione della Val Corcera, quella che congiunge il Lago d’Orta al Lago Maggiore.
