It is a vast area that covers the territory of Dormelletto with an extension of about 157 hectares. The lake environment and its natural peculiarities were preserved along almost 4 kilometers of this land to recover it, respect the natural environment, and safeguard the animal species living there.

The area is one of the essential areas of passage between the lake and the mainland. Natural vegetation, consisting mainly of reeds, is the most common.
